About two weeks ago I told you that I want to share more vlogs in addition to the usual posts on my blog. I already created two vlogs, one about a day trip to Helenesee and one about the adidas Runners City Night in Berlin. And last Sunday I decided to create a third vlog for you. My boyfriend was at a soccer match this morning, and I decided to go for a run and to take Jimmy with me. I usually drive to a forest when I want to run with Jimmy, but that day I didn’t have my car, so I had to go for a walk in the city. Unfortunately, I can’t run without his leash in our neighbourhood because it’s too close to the streets and I don’t trust him enough 😉
Since I had to run with him on his leash, I didn’t know how it would go. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to run at all. I knew that we probably would do a mix of running and walking. In the end, we ran 3 kilometres and walked for two more. It went better than expected, and maybe I’ll do it again. But if I want to go for a run with Jimmy in our neighbourhood again I should definitely buy a dog harness. His collar wasn’t comfortable at all so that he couldn’t enjoy the run. He always enjoys it when we’re running in the forest and is super exhausted afterwards. It’s not only great because he gets a lot of physical exercises, but also because he always sleeps for the rest of the day. 😉 After our 5-kilometre run-walk-mix he was exhausted as well, but not as much as he usually is. He didn’t sleep for the rest of the days, but at least he slept for a couple of hours, and we could leave him home alone for a couple of hours to take new outfit pictures and to eat lunch.
Last but not least I want to add something about my routine: I usually run three to six kilometres three times a week and do my four minutes planks afterwards. Four minutes planks mean that I do one minute on each side. I always start with a “normal” plank (head facing down), continue with a side plank (right) followed by a side plank (left) and last but not least I do a one minute plank reverse. You can find a short video tutorial on my Instagram account here. Last Sunday I did only one minute of the “normal” plank. My weaker self won the battle 😉 But usually, I always try to do every single side and if I don’t feel like doing one minute on each side, I try to do 30 to 45 seconds instead.
That’s it for now. I won’t write more and leave you with the vlog. 😉 Let me know what you think and leave me a comment with questions, notes or tips in case you run with your dog as well. Enjoy your Wednesday everyone. xx
