Wearing a scarf as a top in summer

It's been a while since I last uploaded an outfit here, which is because I was quite busy preparing the first trip after the corona lockdown. But not uploading anything doesn't mean that I didn't take any outfit photos for you. I actually have a few looks I can't wait to share, and this is the first one.

It was a gloomy day in Berlin and unfortunately not warm enough to wear a full summer look. But due to that, I got to wear my favorite white cardigan as well as a new pair of brown pants, which I combined with a scarf worn as a top.

You might have seen people wearing scarves and bandanas as a top all over Instagram, and even I couldn't resist and wanted to give this trend a try. But I didn't go for a bandana; I decided to create a slightly chicer look, perfect for a day in the city.

I still need some practice to turn a scarf into a top, but I do like it. Also, there are so many different ways to do it. This is only one, and I might try some other ways very soon and capture it for the blog.

To finalize this outfit, I put on a pair of light-colored shoes. I have to admit; I first wanted to wear a pair of sandals. But the boots gave the look a chicer touch, so I ended up wearing them instead of summer shoes. How do you like it?
