Birds on my Denim Jacket

Happy Tuesday guys! Some of you might know, that I write for VILA MOMENTS on a regular basis. If not, you should definitely check it out, if you want to read a little bit more written by me. 🙂 I’m telling you this because another article written by me went online yesterday. It’s all about one of my favourite trends of the season: patches! Those who’ve been following me for a while now, know about the denim jacket I customised with patches. Whenever I travel, I bring new patches back home to put them on this old denim jacket. It’s the best way to create unique pieces, pieces not everybody has. But let’s be honest, getting creative and customising clothes isn’t always as easy as is sounds. So when you’re everything but creative, but you like patches a lot, the current trend is the perfect opportunity to get yourself some pretty nice styles with patches.

Additionally, it’s a great way to get more than one piece with patches. The denim jacket I customised myself is very sporty and less girly. I have a lot of travel related patches and wouldn’t combine it with a dress or a chic outfit in general. Thanks to the patches trend, you get a lot of different styles online and in stores. Some styles are girly others sporty. There’s a style for everyone, and you can get a style for every occasion. I love the denim jackets I customised myself, but it’s everything but chic or girly. Luckily I just got this beautiful VILA denim jacket with bird and flower patches. It’s the opposite of my other denim jacket, so I now have one style for every kind of outfit 🙂

Birds on my Denim Jacket – Patches Trend

This denim jacket is part of the new patches collection from VILA. It’s a very playful collection that offers pieces for everyone. Some of the pieces are feminine such as this denim jacket and the sweater I’m wearing underneath; others are very sporty. (I’m showing you another style at the end of the week, stay tuned). I first wasn’t pretty sure how to combine it. I didn’t have a pair of jeans in my wardrobe, that matches the colour of the denim jacket, so I went for a black one instead. But I didn’t want to wear an all black look in combination with the denim jacket, so the next question was, what sweater to wear. I knew, that I have this pink sweater – another piece from the patches collection – but I wasn’t sure whether combine it with the denim jacket or not. It’s quite colourful, and I first thought it is a little bit too colourful for me. But in the end, I went with this outfit combination, and I’m quite satisfied with the result. 🙂
